Did you get a lug nut cover tool with your MY?

Curious to know of other people who got the 20" inductions (or the 21" wheels with the MYP) received the "lug nut cover tool" with their Y?

I did not and am wondering if we are supposed to or if Tesla just doesn't provide it. I assume it should come with the car since it's listed in the owner's manual:

I had this conversation with the SC. The bottom line - no one knew anything and/or played stupid.

But, it really is nothing more than a bent tip screwdriver type tool.

Really would like to see one removed in person to know what Im doing.

I was actually looking for it last night during caliper prep with no luck. The cover is a pain in the ass to remove unless you have a tool specifically made for it.

To keep the job going, I bent a piece of weed trimmer line and fished it through the holes to pull the cover off!

How is it held in place? Snap ring?

Yes. Its even a pain to put back on if you do not have it perfectly straight.

I didn't get anything with my PUP but I've been wondering about this as I have winter wheels coming. I thought I saw someone on a youtube video pull it off with a suction cup thing but can't find it.

I just keep a spare allen wrench in the car. If you have an extra small one laying around, it seems to do the job just fine. Hook it into the cover and pull straight off.

Thanks...this tool looks exactly like what the owner's manual is showing in the diagram.

Nope, I didn't get one. But ordered one from Amazon, and used it to take the covers off, replaced with lug nut covers and red/black Tesla snap-in logos for the middle part. Since my MY is black/black, I wanted something to stand out a bit.

Never did find mine either...and I bought the one pictured here. Works just fine and only $5 with Prime delivery too.
