Do the cars come without front plates?

Based in CA. Praying that the car does not come with front plates installed.

Does it only get installed upon request? If not, can we request for it not to be installed?

The front plate bracket is double sided tape onto the bumper, this was done at the time of delivery so if you can catch it, they will not put it on. but if they did, you can take it off with some heat to soften the adhesive

don't come installed. usually in the cubby in trunk if you want it. Can always tell a Tesla in CA. They are the ones without the front plates. Personally i run the Stick on license plate up front. Get lots of looks

I give credit to Tesla that they assume that buyers will not want their plates drilled. Legacy car dealers usually go by their state laws.

My "used" 2022 came with the unused front mounting bracket in the rear compartment. Not a fan of front plates so won't be installing.

New from the factory they do not install it for you. It's in th trunk cargo storage.

I got the one hat lathes to the grill, the factory one is 3M / Gorilla glue string tape and difficult to take off the residue afterwards.

Several of my CA friends who have bought new Teslas in the past few years told me the front license plate holder is in the trunk. For mine, I called ahead to make sure, and when I got mine sure enough it was in the trunk underneath the floor cover. Am fairly certain they come this way.
