Drivers door handle

Odd problem earlier today. Unlocked the car opened the drivers door with the handle And something fell off inside the door, I heard it come loose and fall into the inside of the door. It now rattles when you shake the door.
Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like the door mechanism has Failed Under Continuous Testing - FUCT.

I’d book a service visit.
