Duty owed on tires shipped from Tire Rack to Canada?

Recently purchased and received a set of Vredstein Quatrac Pro tires to replace the dreaded OEM Michelins that were cooked after 25,000 kms.
I have yet to receive a bill for the customs tax that I have gotten in the past from ordering from the US.
Is it just late or has something changed in ordering tires from the US?

If Fedex shipped it, you will get a bill later.
UPS collects brokerage and other fees/taxes at or before delivery.

It was shipped by UPS, so hopefully no surprise letter coming.

Some shops offer to collect the duty directly. Typically that price is more fair than some transporters.
UPS might have you pay at delivery as someone said. It might still be a surprise...

I do recall tirerack pre charges for duty and brokerage fees.

Ah, then there will be no surprises upon delivery nor after because you've paid your dues. That's the best way to do business. Sure it's cool to sometimes save duties but when the surprise comes, the fees are normally higher than this system.

Those Michelins will be tough to beat. Excellent tires.
