The Charging Point Watch out Tesla – here’s the K1 Evelio electric sportscar

Saw this yesterday - it looks the business but the company is a bit like Tesla circa 2004.

OK, after doing some research here's the (minor) difference I think he was trying to point out:

sale slovakia | K-1 ENGINEERING - History tab:
2000
the first ATTACK, based on a Kit Car, was shown to the world...
...The customer must buy mass produced parts for example Honda Accord 90 – 96 in any used or crashed state, from which he or she uses the drive train with all equipment necessary for engine management, and according to the DVD manual, assembles the parts (the components are delivered in a special container).
2003
work on the development of a prototype of a complete sports car under the name K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER with a Ford drive train, including the carrying out of all calibrations, tests and checks and permissions needed for homologation of the future car for usage on public roads start
during this time the company continues manufacturing kit cars, the sales of which finance investments into developments
2006
...start of sales of K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER begins, each element re-worked or newly developed and nothing is identical to the original Kit car, from the construction and quality side, we are dealing with a totally new car

So the EVELIO has been built out of a converted/modified "K1 ATTACK ROADSTER" complete ICE vehicle with Ford underpinnings (see the already-linked EV Attack thread last page). Slightly different than the original ATTACK kit, which was to be built up with customer-sourced Honda parts. Overall appearance is nearly identical, but it uses different body panels and structures underneath. Recent posts in that link point out that parts, panels, etc. aren't interchangeable between the two (kit vs. 'production' car).

That's the only difference he was trying to point out (though to anyone who doesn't own one or the other, or hadn't been through their forums recently, this difference wouldn't be clear at all).

Let's mark this one up as 'lost in translation'. No need to go for the Mandible Claw or Figure-4 leglock on him... *sheesh*

Not gonna sell many tickets with that kind of "let's all get along" attitude. :)

Can you imagine the start?

Ladies and gentlemen..., LETS GET READY FOR... a reasonable compromise.

VFX's reading comprehension skills notwithstanding. <ZING!>

Why all the hating Doug? No one said, "kill the ref".
"sheesh" is right...
