It's probably 2 layer glass, see if you can tell if it's on the inside or outside. If on the inside you're more likely to have it covered.
Try rubbing fingernail across it on the outside and inside.

yes just happened to my model x spontaneous crack no signs of impact, very small 1 inch in corner only noticed because it was leaking rain into car. I just found out I paid for the repair I thought it should have been covered under warranty.
