First trial of lighting for center console

I really feel as if the center console is missing out on soft lighting while driving, so I am testing out these usb powered led light strips just above the phone dock. The same ones used for computers. With the little remote control.

It does look really awesome at night from driver and front passenger seats. Obviously, if anybody was in the backseat they would have the leds straight at them.

If anybody has a better way to hide the lights and or other alternatives would love to hear it.

How do you like it? What strip did you go with? What would you do differently?
