Fix scratched PPF?

It appears as though a rock or something scratched my PPF on my hood. Thought it was a bug, but it doesn't come off and seems to be a scratch. Although, it's yellowish, which is odd.

Assuming it IS a PPF scratch, is there an easy way to remove it?

Ask the folk who installed the PPF. Different qualities/thicknesses, they'll know the answer.

heating the area can heal/repair some minor scratches

Most quality PPF will self-heal light scratches and swirl marks with heat application to the film's surface. If the PPF has a tear, a rip or pierced in any way, there's no way to "fix" it. You will have to remove the film from that panel and reapply a new piece.
