First, I am new to the forum in terms of posting. Thanks for all that post and answer questions. I have learned a lot from you all.
This is my first post, although I have been reading and lurking for a while. I ordered my X on Sept 11, I got the confirmation on Sept 15th and sent the additional info (requested final paperwork) to Tesla that day via the Tesla account. I show 5/6 because I am trading in my other car and that would also seem normal that they are ‘pending’ on that. I have not gotten a VIN and would not think odd, but when I look at the entries in the spreadsheet folks are using to track, it looks like VINs get assigned on average within a week for most folks who are posting their info in the tracking spreadsheet. I do see one or two that were longer than that. It has been 7 days for me. I also notice that perhaps VINs get assigned sooner based on geography. I am an east coast delivery (Devon, PA).
I am being impatient is my question or should I contact Tesla? I don’t have a delivery specialist assigned yet (again, assume that comes after the VIN), If I am being impatient, should I be concerned in another week if no VIN assigned by then? Thanks in advance and hope I can provide some help to others in the future.
