From Confirmation Date to VIN issued wait times

First, I am new to the forum in terms of posting. Thanks for all that post and answer questions. I have learned a lot from you all.

This is my first post, although I have been reading and lurking for a while. I ordered my X on Sept 11, I got the confirmation on Sept 15th and sent the additional info (requested final paperwork) to Tesla that day via the Tesla account. I show 5/6 because I am trading in my other car and that would also seem normal that they are ‘pending’ on that. I have not gotten a VIN and would not think odd, but when I look at the entries in the spreadsheet folks are using to track, it looks like VINs get assigned on average within a week for most folks who are posting their info in the tracking spreadsheet. I do see one or two that were longer than that. It has been 7 days for me. I also notice that perhaps VINs get assigned sooner based on geography. I am an east coast delivery (Devon, PA).

I am being impatient is my question or should I contact Tesla? I don’t have a delivery specialist assigned yet (again, assume that comes after the VIN), If I am being impatient, should I be concerned in another week if no VIN assigned by then? Thanks in advance and hope I can provide some help to others in the future.

What I ordered: 100D, 5 seats, Pearl White.

They assign VINs in batches. notice a lot of people get their VINs on the same day even though they ordered on different days. i noticed a bunch of 75Ds were getting their vins before a bunch of 100Ds got their VINs at the same time.

Delivery specialist comes with the VIN, an owner advisor should have contacted you by now. mine contacted me 24 hours after ordering.

@tpham07 Thanks for the useful info. Since I don't have an OA yet, I should probably get that figured out first. Glad to now know you get one assigned once you get confirmed. I missed that detail. I will contact the person I had communicated with and met a couple times when I did the test drive.....I actually think he was an OA at my SC. I relooked at the spreadsheet and I saw you waited 9 days, so while many get the VIN sooner, this is not necessarily a reason for concern. I am chalking some of this up to end of Q3 rush.

Checked my account today. I have gotten my VIN assigned. Updated spreadsheet.

I also placed my X order on Sept. 11 and just noticed today that a VIN was assigned.
