Front Bumper Lip protector

Last week I bought the $41 Amazon front lip solution and install it. The installation is very easy. Just to be on the safe side, I used a small heat gun to warm (NOT to heat) the bumper and the glue strip for a minute of two. It holds well on both sides of the bumper, and I even left my Y on a cold California rainy night (usually the car is garaged). No problem, and it looks professional, don't you thing so?

Be aware of this: The first set of mudflaps I put on the car caused permanent paint damage where the edges of the flaps contacted the paint.

Could that happen with your protectors?
