Did any member here try to mount the 8" speaker from the Premium Audio system in the base audio system 6.5" speaker opening in the front doors? Wonder if the existing mounting holes align..

no but i have taken apart my premium 8" speaker in the front. i assume the 6.5" is the same as the rear door. if it is, you will need an extra plastic spacer bracket looking thing to mount the 8" speaker. so the 8" speaker mounts to this plastic spacer, the plastic spacer mounts to the door.

Trying to do this as well, any info on the mounting screws associated. Was told in this forum to make sure to get the 8” mid mounting screws. Trying to find the size is a b*tch online and of course no answer from Tesla parts dept.
