Tesla continues it's prices cuts, as recently as yesterday - This doesn't help folks who purchased one in the last couple of years, resale wise....

In addition to the very real reduction in your net worth that comes with these price cuts, and all the emotions of that loss of money, the kicker is how it reduces your perception of value of the car you bought, and you feel that every time you get in.

someone with an aggressive approach to taxes (with a business) could buy an X, drive it for work purposes for 20 miles, and take a 100% tax deduction in that year (essentially capturing 40+% of the 100k paid) with Section 179... will it lead to an audit? Maybe when the IRS gets all it's people hired up.. but seller will be just fine selling at this price

Just curious. Did you buy it to flip?
Why buy and barely drive the thing?
I was offered to purchase the vehicle for $99,990 on the last day of 2022. The current selling price of the car at the time was around $119k or $129k IIRC. Bought it to replace our Model Y Performance and also a Section 179 tax write off, but unfortunately, both cars' new price from Tesla were lowered by ~$20k 2 weeks after purchase. Decided to stick with the Model Y so here we are. I do have an offer from a dealer at $86,500.
