Gen 2 14-30 Adapter

I have my M3 coming next week, but need an adapter for the 30A plug in the garage. The Tesla store seems to be backed up and no ETA on delivery. Is anyone selling in the GTA?

You might be able to find a 14-30 to 14-50 converter to use until the 14-30 adapter arrives. Just remember not to draw more than 30A from it.

CORRECTION: Don't draw more than 24A which is the 80% continuous rating for a 30A circuit.

I bought one off of Amazon, and like mociaf9 says, draw no more than 24A.

If your plug in the garage is a standard 240 v plug ( for dryers ) it is easily converted with a plug from any hardware store
eg Home Depot, for ~ $20.00. You can then use the plug that comes with your TM3. Won't need to spend $ on the Tesla version.

When I ordered mine in July it came in a few days. Currently doesn't show as back ordered when I add to my cart?

If I have learned anything from the Tesla Shop recently, just because it shows in-stock on the website doesn't mean they have any or even a clue as to when they'll be getting more.

I received confirmation of the order immediately on the 7th, but nothing since then. I've reached out a couple times without reply. Very surprising.

I have an extra 14-30 Brand new adapter for my Tesla S . They would call it a Gen1 NEMA adapters (no cord in between). Not sure what M3 is being delivered. PM if you want to take that off my hands.

I ordered a 14-30 on December 4, got confirmation it was shipped on December 8 (Saturday), and received it December 12 (last night) sent by FedEx. You will probably have it soon.
