I Flew to new York to meet my father, and we needed a Car to drive upstate to Ithaca
So we rented a car from Hertz ,we decided to rent a Mercedes GL 450
I get in the cockpit to drive the 245 mile trip and everything looked kind of familiar
All controls around the steering wheel were indeed the same as a Tesla
Wow!, now I can practice driving with these controls
completely backwards from my Subaru wrx manual.
The cruise control is great, small click up or down result in 1 mph change and big click 5 mph change
Also the control for drive and park and reverse is the same resulting in when you take the key get out of the
car it goes to auto park
So thanks to all the People who wrote in on things you did not know about your Tesla
I was getting use to it quick
But Mercedes Cant Hold a candle to Tesla when it comes to power delivery
Big delay when you press down
Also the Big Beast gave 17.1 MPG on Highway! Guzzle Guzzle

I am with you on that. Have had nothing but high powered sports cars and now with a child on the way, going to scale back to something more civilized. The Tesla is a great compromise between having four doors and the performance (at least straight line) of an Italian beast. I debated between the P85 and M6 GranSport for a while and decided that the ROI on the Tesla is quite substantial in 8 years time.
