what is the difference between towing and pulling?

I believe with towing you have a tongue weight which loads the suspension. Most trailers are about 10% tongue weight. So a 15,000 trailer has 1500lbs of weight being counted as ‘payload’ on the vehicle. Pulling would have no weight added to the vehicle. It’s why the worlds strongest man competition they can pull a full size jet. Once it gets moving pretty much the only thing you need to overcome to keep it moving is friction.

In famous Tesla tradition, testing happens on customers, in this case Elon was the customer of the demo. Or maybe Elon didn't read the fine print of "armored glass" - "coming soon via over the air update"

You all do know that towing and pulling are two different things right?

Yes, I know the difference. But Elon specifically said a while back that the truck would have a 300,000 pound towing capacity.
