Has the quality of Tesla service gone into the toilet?

I was talking to my wife about getting coffee at Starbucks. She said since when are you a Starbucks fan? I replied, Well, I drive a Tesla don't I?

Now I'm getting it. One wants to have to drive far to the service! Every electrical mile counts.

@artsci Rick, I became so disappointed in the "new" Rockville team that I switched to Tysons. Much, much happier.

I sure hope they don't plan on keeping their monopoly on service. They really need to start working with third party mechanics soon. They are a doing a disservice to their customers by making it nearly impossible to get repairs done anywhere but service centers. I think once more cars are out of warranty they will be more open to working with independant mechanics. (Fingers crossed emoji)

Maybe as new car company with the new tech. tesla can make a case for "Tesla service only" but that is becoming less important as the years go. I would not want to own a Tesla out of warranty with no options for repairs. That can get real expensive.
