Having to close and re-open Tesla app

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Ever since the v12 update I’ve had to restart my iPhone Tesla app about 90% of the time in order to unlock the car.

What’s odd is that I can still manipulate the various functions, like cabin pre-conditioning and whatnot, AND still able to open the hatch without having to restart the app.

But as soon I go to open a door I see ‘Use your keycard’ on the Tesla screen.

A simple close-and-open of the app and doors work fine. (I do carry my keycard for oddities like this)

Which v12 build do you have? Not seeing that problem with 2024.14.9 on either a 2023 MS or 2023 MY. The phone key doesn’t always work immediately, which has always been an issue, but it works most of the time.

i even made sure locks - driver door unlock is engaged

Restarting the iPhone (a 14 Pro Max) looks promising so far.

I also un-engaged 'locks - driver door unlock'. Apparently hitting the button the hatch (above the license plate) becomes disabled when this function is enabled.
