Two Tesla App Problems: Tail of 2 Teslas

I have a 2019 Model 3 and I just bought an LR Model X. When I walk out to the car, with the M3 selected in the app, the M3 doesn't unlock. When I hit the open trunk button, M3 showing in the app, the MX trunk opened. After shutting the trunk manually, with the M3 still selected, I hit the unlock button. The MX unlocked. I did go to the M3 driver door and pushed the handle. The M3 unlocked and I could open the door.

How do I consistently control the right car with the app?

Try reinstalling the app to see if it gets the cars straight.
