Heard the 12v battery was updated

I seriously doubt it. There's absolutely not enough justification to increase the cost by a significant amount.

Would be nice if they adjusted the charge discharge cycle at least. That alone would improve the battery’s overall lifespan.

No change in battery type. They said the one I had from factory had a fault in it. So they just replaced it with another one. That’s a no on the Li Ion. Sorry
