Hit a curb and racked up

I ran over a curb while turning into a parking lot. The damage appeared to be mainly cosmetic and limited to the front aero shield.

The tesla estimate was about $250 to replace the front aero cover.

I brought it in today and after further examination they said the front subframe was bent and needed to be replaced.

Total cost with parts and labor was estimated to be $1827. Includes stabilizer bar, aero shield, valence and subframe. This seemed pretty high and I was thinking they may be replacing the subframe proactively and perhaps it may not mandatory.

“We found damage to the front lower valance, the front aero shield, the right hand sway bar bushing bracket, and the front subframe.”

Has anyone had a similar accident and repair estimate?

The tech was very nice to work with and they zip tied up the aero cover in the mean time.

The alignment seems fine and I’m thinking this isn’t a huge deal to continue driving as is or maybe diy a more elegant solution than a zip tie.

Bump if anyone has thoughts on it.
Don't the following thread deals with a similar issue? There is a detailed parts list provided by the Tesla Service Center.

I had not seen that thread thank you! I like the idea of using the Model Y part. Can you just order parts from the service center or somewhere online from Tesla?
