Home Charger Advice Please

I asked the installer if it was worth putting a roof or some form of housing over the entire unit and he said he'd done many installations in the Scottish highlands, exposed to snow, rain etc. and never had to fix an issue relating to water ingress.

I had to open up our Zappi charge point (under guidance of manufacturer) that has been battered with the elements all winter ... it was dry as a bone inside.

The total incl VAT was £910... so I paid £410 and the contractor who installed it claims the £500 grant back.
Could have got it a few pounds cheaper if I had opted for a non tethered cable.... and another £300 cheaper if I moved to Scotland lol

Many thanks, seems to roughly work out the same for mine, now the pricing error was corrected!
