Hot outlet reducing charging speed

I searched the forum but had trouble finding anything on a similar problem on debut ownership night. The error isn't heat-related but just recommends disconnecting and reconnecting to restore charging speed (32A). If it persists, the notification suggests contacting Tesla. Has anyone seen this before, and what did the source of the problem end up being? It's holding at 32A since reconnection (about 20 minutes ago), for now.

What did you disconnect and reconnect? The car connector? A NEMA plug? Perhaps one was not seated well.

The Nema 14-50 outlet connector is fastened to the 240 VAC wiring by means of torqued screws. If either of these screws are loose, you will get some electrical sparking that will cause heating. If you are comfortable checking the wire connections (2-hot, 1 ground/neutral) to the 14-50 NEMA outlet connector, turn off the circuit breaker and pull the connector and cover-plate loose and re-tighten all three wire holding screws.
