How to mount cabin view camera (i.e. Gopro etc.) to record driving on beta

How do those of you who use cameras to record the car while on beta, mount your cameras? I have a short suction cup mount hanging down from the ceiling that's too short, so I bought an extending pole that makes the camera shake so much it looks like I'm driving through a 9.0 earthquake.

I have a suction cup post coming down from the windshield glass (MX). Yes, the mount moves around a little bit so I try stabilizing it with one hand. Some sort of guy "wires" to the front seat backs would probably help with the stability issues.

I'm sure there are more elaborate (and $$$) options.

Here is a video from November, 2020 by Zeb Hallock (I don't know if Zeb is on TMC). It's a 5 minute video showing his video setup and explaining why he set it up that way. He also lists the equipment he used. This is an excellent starting point for someone who wants to shoot quality video.
