Also, insurance kinda has a hard time valuing Model 3's apparently. When mine was totaled they valued it above what I paid for it! Needless to say, I took my check and kept my mouth shut
My guess is it's totaled. I went thru something similar and my insurance initially said they could fix mine, but ended up totaling it after the shop did their assessment. I've heard this is common with Teslas based on all the sensors and things built into the car. I hope this isn't the case with yours though. And I hope you catch this mofo and milk him or her for all you can.
Unfortunately the shop did their assessment and they are ordering parts for a very long repair. The mofo has sorta been caught. At this point their (state minimum worthless )insurance is determining liability. Everyone is waiting. Eventually they will get the police report then dole out the miserly sum. After that my insurance will sue them if there is anything to sue for. My guess is there is nothing...
