How To Remove Front Plate

Does anyone know how to safely loosen the adhesive to remove the front plate bracket?

Maybe the same way you would remove the emblem?

A little heat, some dental floss, and lots of patience?

Heat gun or hair dryer should loosen up the adhesive enough to remove it. Haven't tested this myself though.

pulled with some force and most of the tape stuck to the license frame. Peeled off the two small pieces of adhesive by hand that stuck to the bumper (no tools or heat required). I removed a few hours after delivery so that may have helped the easy removal. Will need to apply new double sided tape if I decide to re-apply as it stretched/wrinkled quite a bit on the end where the tape broke.

Haven't tried this on a Model 3, but on a (facelift) Model S where the base of the holder is also attached using adhesive. We used a heat gun to soften the glue and slowly pulled the mount off starting on one side. It took some force but didn't leave any significant residue behind.

Have done it exactly that way. Worked great. Also found that vertical lines actually were not even stick to bumper. Only top horizontal part was holding the plate monunt.

Did you reinstall the bracket with the new adhesive? Did the vertical lines stick to the bumper after reapplying?
