Humming while parking in garage on a new Model Y. Is this sound normal(video attached)

I picked up my model Y last week. I noticed some noise when the vehicle is parked in garage. It was like humming sound and sometime I can hear fan was running. I have turned off the climate and cabin overheat protection. I was not charging my car. I wonder if the sound is normal or not.
The noise lasted for couple of hours after I drove the car back and parked in garage. It stopped before I went to bed and is good when I checked it up this morning.

Permission issues trying to listen, but humming is very common. The car has fans and pumps that can continue to run after the car is turned off.

The climate control circulation fan will continue to run to dry out the HVAC filter box. It keeps mildew from growing in there.

The car will also occasionally turn on the ac compressor (or heat) and the fluid pumps to condition the battery if it is too hot or cold.

Sounds normal to me. You will notice the humming lasting longer in extreme temperatures and longer drives.

I have the same noise (IMG 8645) too and I found a hack to stop it. Use the app to turn on the Climate Control(the fan icon) and turn it off right after. This sound should stop.

The User manual recommends the car to be plugged in always even when the charging is completed.

Thank you for you reply. Then I can understand why fan is running. But what is the humming sound.

Hard for me to tell from the videos. I’m guessing the fan motor or fluid pumps. There might be some rational in circulating the coolant to keep the battery temperature even through out. But totally a guess.

Mine will occasionally do this when I park it in my garage (I'm sure it's done it when I've parked it outside but haven't heard it). It will eventually shut off.

Yes same noise is normal. Mine was loud then that, I took it to Tesla for another reason and they replaced one of the ac mounts.

I get the same sounds from my Y. My home office is adjacent to the garage, so it drove me crazy for the first few days after we got the car, until I learned what was going on.

Same to new 2021 model 3, the sound lasts minutes to hours.
It truns humming even just check status on App.
No idea to stop it, or shorten it.

You might just a well get used to all the quirky noises that the Tesla makes. Too many different sounds that really can't be identified. It will just take care of itself - it knows what's best.
