Installing License Plates

I rec'd the paperwork from Tesla today, so got my license plates. How do I install them? I don't see a frame on the X, only the embossed X in the sheet metal of the liftgate and 4 plastic covers for what I assume are holes for screws... what am I missing?

Don't you have a 4 Wheel Drive license plate from attached with a paper plate in the back? It has two screws and two chrome caps. Pry off the caps and take the screws out, remove the paper plate and replace everything with your rear plate.

For the front plate you should have gotten a black plastic license plate holder. Mine did not come with a frame, and screws or buttons. When I was at the SC for the seat fix I asked them to supply me with another frame and all the screws and buttons needed. They gave me a little kit. Probably would have put it on too but I forgot to ask until I was ready to leave.

Upon delivery the Tesla specialist recommended that I have the service center install the front license plate bracket. I am capable of it, but I assume they have a jig that would ensure that it is perfect, besides I don't want to accidentally mis-drill the front of my new car! Some states don't require front license plates so I guess they thought they would make the front of the MX look clean. I must say the new refresh S has a rather prominent front plate mounting bracket in front, not sure why they chose to put one on the MS, but not on the MX??

I saw front plate frames being installed at the store with an eyeball and a battery powered drill, and probably a lot of experience. I'm still seeking a solution that doesn't require holes in the front fascia (underside fascia holes would be ok)

I don't see one of those... I'll check again in the morning. If not, KC Service Center will need to be visited for a set. Thanks for the info, now I know what I'm looking for.
