I live in a condo and I don’t have a garage so I‘m not able to charge at home. That’s fine because there is a Tesla supercharger about 2 miles down the road, so I usually stop there a couple of times per week to charge.
I have family who lives nearby and I usually visit them on weekends. I‘ve been toying with the idea of having the Tesla Wall Connector (https://shop.tesla.com/product/wall-connector) installed on the side of their house so when I park in the driveway I can charge.
My only concern is security of the charger. Is there someway that we can program it so a stranger can’t just park there when nobody is home and charge their car? Perhaps someone can explain how this works. I just want to be sure before I move any further with this idea. Thanks!
