So my cover is due from 18th Sept, Currently with LV for the second year and paid £401 for my 2018 S last year. I did a comparison jobby a week ago and LV came up @ £398.
The renewal letter today offers me cover for £500 i.e 25% increase.
So I go back to the comparisons I saved. As it happens RAC was second cheapest @ £319 - and it turns out is underwritten by LV and with adjustments to the same fiddly 'extras' as before BUT a reduction of voluntary x/s to £250 my total is £337.
So much for gov promises that existing customers won't be ripped off

Blooming irritating.

I have a 2016 Model S, no claims, no history, no speeding, 12k miles pa, etc etc, I live in suburban Manchester, residential area. Car parked off street etc.

My renewal is 10th Sept, best I could get was £750 [also with LV] but with a large excess.

Myself and wife, social and domestic.

Inexplicable to me why it should be double in Manchester?

[Was with Direct Line, had been for a few years and paid the loyalty premium, was £740, they wanted a further loyalty premium of £1020 to renew - that was 38% rise].
