Recently had solar panels installed. Did you add solar to your Home insurance policy?
If so did you add the total cost including installation or just hardware costs?

Yes I added the whole cost of installation to my home insurance and provided them with a copy of the contract. It increased my yearly fire insurance by $60 (State Farm).

Just added solar, and they basically added the cost of the solar to the 'rebuild cost" of the house. Strangely they based it on the number of modules (panels) I had installed. Then they put that number in a calculator and my new insurance is $95 a year higher.
