I was reading an article awhile back where they saying some companies had lower rates because tesla offers enhanced safety features.

I know there are many factors when given a quote.
Today I received a quote from my current provider pembridge for a awd model y. I was a bit surprised that it was $1,670 a year. I haven't shopped the car around yet but I will. Does anyone have any recommendations for an Ontario driver?

Get used to paying through the nose for insurance. They’re all a bunch of scammy shysters IMHO.

Mine was about $20.00 month more for my 2020 model 3 from a 2013 Dodge Charger. The same as pretty much any new car would be. Works out to be about $1400.00 /year

Shop around. My 3 and Y were similar/slightly cheaper than my previous gasser SUV, even with a 17yo added to the policy.

Bear in mind that all ON companies were given the green light to increase premiums this year so most people have seen increases at renewal. Apparently this is part of the "transformative" changes we were promised by the Ford government...

Has anyone in BC gotten insurance? Im in my 30s with a clean record and I'm still getting quoted close to 3k a year for insurance on a M3 SR+. It's insane!
