just received the email with my assigned VIN and an invite to call the sales advisor. Hooray! Any guidance on what to expect or questions/issues I should make sure are covered when I call?
Thanks.

If the sales advisor is anything like mine was, you won't be able to ask to many questions. Mine seemed to be eager to get to the next call. Basically, make appointment, figure out payment, etc. My sales advisor's role seemed to be to make sure all the transactional details were accounted for.

That's about how mine went. Quite pleasant but you are right about the agenda. I learned I misinterpreted "cash" as a payment method. I thought presenting a cashier's check from a lending institute would count as "cash." It does not. Since that detail is not yet finalized, it has the potential of pushing back my delivery date, which was based on an expected cash transaction. The sales advisor did state they have a lot of calls to make. Thanks for the reply.

I'd suggest having your list of questions ready, and keep it pretty short with the ISA. Once they schedule your delivery, and you're a week out from that date, I'd suggest finding the number for the delivery service center and calling. There was an option on the phone tree for mine for new car delivery, and once I hooked up with the specialist there, he was happy to help.

They are also very busy, so expect a little delays in the back and forth. But my experience was very good. It was dicey for a few days - first, it looked like the car may not arrive in time, and then there was an issue the service department wanted to check out. But it all worked out, and they even moved my delivery up a day at my request. Delivery went completely smooth and there were zero issues with the car. I love it!

I plan to take my M3 delivery in Portland OR, 1500 miles from home in Kansas. I’ve only just “ordered” it but hope you will relate your experience with picking your Tesla up in a far away land and driving home like I plan to. BTW, I expect pure joy compared with when I drove my 2011 Leaf to Madison WI and back a couple years ago. Took 3 1/2 days and 14 stops to charge each way. Needless to say for my M3 I’m getting a longest range battery and will enjoy echo-touring in it.

Some of these responses are really funny. I'm sorry, I don't really care how busy they are, if I just paid $90,000 Canadian for a car, then they will answer every question I have and if they rush me they can cancel the sale. I'm not sure why everyone acts like these are $10,000 cars. I have always owned BMW, always new, never anything else. The purchase experience is amazing and NOT rushed at all, but seems like everyone with Tesla is so willing to accept poor service for some reason.
