I agree, as long as the diameter or height side by side is very similar, within a few mm, the car probably won’t worry too much, it’ll just look a bit funny

I bet the car won't notice even if the difference is a few CM. Nor will the driver. I had a blowout (hit a curb) and replaced it with a new Michelin now mixed with old Goodyears. NEVER noticed any difference in driving. The new tire had several mm of tread that my old tires didn't have. I guess I'm just not a good driver, unable to notice differences in tread and its affect on my driving. NOT.
