Is it okay to use ice scrapers?

I'm reading the manual and it says: "Do not scrape, or use any abrasive cleaning fluid on glass or mirrored surfaces. This can damage the reflective surface of the mirror and the heating elements in the rear window".

Are they talking about INTERIOR of rear window? Or are they saying not to use an ice scraper on the rear window in winter?

Been using an ice scraper on my Tesla for like 7 years it's fine, nothing to hurt it's plastic scraping glass

Doh! I just noticed that that warning was in the "Interior Glass" section. I shouldn't skim the huge manual so fast.
