Is there an alternate operating system I could install on a Model S?

Is there an unofficial OS I could download and install on a Model S?

I'm trying to solve the mystery of the 150 stolen Tesla Model S. Where did they go? Couldn't be parts cars as there aren't very many independent Tesla mechanics. Couldn't be resold as a Tesla as the stolen car would be spotted at the next software update. The only thing I could think of is maybe there's an alternate OS. Is there an alternate OS for the Model S?

If so, where can I download it? How would I install it?
