Hi All. I know this is a rather obscure musical genre, at least in the greater scheme of things. I've recently discovered contemporary Israeli Mizrahi pop music. I have some iTunes downloads from Sarit Hadad, Eyal Golan and Kobi Peretz. I'm a fan of the Mizrahi "oriental" sound with some of the quarter-tone melodies. If any of you are familiar with the genre and have any recommendations for other artists to look at, I'd appreciate it. No, I'm not Jewish, and I've never been to Israel, but it's on my "bucket list." Thanks in advance. And please, don't turn this thread into an Israel vs. Palestine/Islam vs. Judaism thread.
