Fun story about Jamie Lee Curtis picking up her Model S.
The delivery specialist carefully explained that the sound system goes to 11, just like in the movie "This is Spinal Tap". What the delivery specialist didn't realize was that Jamie's husband, actor Christopher Guest, played Nigel in the movie and he was sitting right next to him.
Jamie Lee Curtis’ Tesla tale definitely goes to 11 | Entertain This!

“The guy was taking us through the controls of the car. And, at one point, he said, ‘Turn up the volume control.’ ” She turned it up but “he said, ‘No, no, no. Make it go louder.’ So, I went up and – it goes to 11,” she said, echoing Nigel Tufnel, the Spinal Tap guitarist played by Guest in the 1984 film.

This has got to be one of the best Tesla stories of all time.

Someone should twitter this article/story over to Elon so he hears about it.

What would have been perfect is if Chris had done his Nigel voice and asked why didn't they just make it go to 10 and make 10 a little louder.

Whenever Tesla gets around to advertising Jamie Lee and Christopher Guest would be perfect spokespersons.

That would have been perfect. And the Tesla person would have probably thought Guest was just imitating the actor in the movie!

And so say we: Tap into America!
Now, I have no right to claim this, but it is true that years ago - around fall 2008, I was at a Tesla gig, long before Model S arrived at my house, and I jokingly suggested that they make the volume...Go to Eleven..
Such a fine line between stupid and clever.

I find it unsatisfying that the appropriate forum handle has not chimed in on this thread yet.

Well, Jamie's been upset with me and has been monitoring my posts.

Guess I shouldn't have signed Andy's letter to Elon.
