Jersey Folks, Front plate or No?

Don't know if I want to put my front plate on when it comes. What you guys do? Did you leave it off? And if so any trouble from the police?

Considering the fact that New Jersey cops have been known to write tickets if your license plate holder in the rear covers up the "New Jersey" and "Garden State" letters on the license plate, I really wouldn't recommend trying to get away with ditching the front plate. Particularly in the current environment where cops are desperate to offset the loss of ticketing revenue with so many fewer people on the roads...

Good point, I'm leaning towards putting it on, just looking for opinions on the subject, maybe change my mind.

I havent had it on. Besides looking worse, I'm scared the sticker won't stay on and I'll put it on uneven.

I'd say over half of the Teslas I see on the road in NJ do not have it mounted, especially the Model X and S's

If you are looking for a reason to put the plate on: Will you get a ticket for no front license plate in NJ?

If you're getting a Model S/X, new ones already come with the front plate mount thing so you don't have to go out of your way to install it. Not sure about 3/Y...

I just got the M3 plate bracket comes with car but not installed. It's held on with Peal and stick adhesive

I haven't been pulled over (knock on wood) in my Model 3 yet with over 20k miles driven and I have no front plate, 20% tint all around and 50% tint on my windshield. it's hit or miss.

Yeah I guess I depends what towns your driving in too, some can be more nit picky then others

5-minute install, great design (doesn't impair any sensors etc), actually has some protective value (if someone gets too close, they hit the bracket and not your car), way more reliable (and less risk of paint damage) than that adhesive-based thing you get from Tesla.

I bought a snap plate. for long road trips it comes off. otherwise been working fine.
