Lag in Infotainment & Instrument Panel

Upgraded to MCU2

The infotainment and instrumental panel (dash screen) feel like they’re slightly lagging. Perhaps the screens are refreshing at a lower FPS than usual. It’s especially visible in dark mode when I move the map around.

Here’s my question: are the safety features of the car (emergency braking, blind spot chime, etc) also lagging? Or is that different from the screen refresh rate?

Emergency braking is controlled by the AP computer which is separate from the MCU. ABS is separate as well. Not sure what the blind spot chime is though.

Do you know by any chance what could be causing the subtle drop in frames?

Given that this is a Tesla, it could be a million things. I'm sure you've tried the scroll wheel reboot. If not, I'd try that. You could also put in a ticket about the lag and see if there is excess cache or other temporary files that could be cleared up.
