Wiki Largest gaps between Superchargers on US Interstates

Pathetic Splitter! On I-90 Billings - N Frontage Rd, MT splits 136.2 miles, 13.1 miles from Billings, MT, 123.8 miles to Sheridan, WY.
It's currently the 12th largest Interstate gap.
If it were to magically open today the reduced 123.8 mile gap to Sheridan, WY would be the 24th largest gap.

The location is a Town Pump, with which Tesla has made an agreement to add at least 6 locations (including another splitter) which will allow them significantly to improve Montana Supercharging.

(Thanks for all this work)
But now that all this data exists, maybe there is another important way to slice and dice the numbers. :)
Let's say you are going from A to B to C and the Supercharger at B is closed for some reason. Maybe we would call this an unsplitter. It would be interesting to know the list of the most critical unsplitter Superchargers on a route. This also makes some of the so-called pathetic splitters actually very important, because one of these just 22 miles from point B makes the point B charger not so critical anymore.

Note: A closed Supercharger happened to me last summer. It was actually noted on the map as closed for maintenance something like 9am - 3pm. However I didn't see it since I was out of cell range in a Natl park when I entered the route. And when the cell connection comes back you don't get a noticeable warning. I actually arrived at the SC at about 2:45pm and a Tesla tech was sitting in his van, waiting for the power company to turn the power back on and he'd been done for over an hour just waiting. It actually didn't affect my trip, but would have if it was a critical unsplitter.

Thes are the largest distances and the splitter of that gap. It includes Permit and Construction locations as well.

It's telling that Oklahoma appears 4 times in that list of top 12.
(I'm assuming you meant "Oklahoma City, OK" in number 12.)

I'd love to hear the story behind the why the Henryetta, OK, supercharger site keeps getting pushed out.

Just a typo but Holbrook is in Arizona, not New Mexico.

Lewisburg, WV added to Open list. Actually should have been in the Top 25 list, but I had it at 123 miles instead of 124.2
Splits 124.2 miles on I-64 between Mt. Hope, WV and Lexington, VA.

(Also on US-219 and shrunk the largest gap from around 270 miles to 225.6 miles. There's a blue dot in McHenry, MD that would further reduce it to 175 miles.).

Thank you, formula error. The From states were mostly correct by luck. Here's the corrected list:

Yes, the list was generated and I had a formula error so it was picking the Unsplitter's state.

Oklahoma-Arkansas seems challenging.

Plainview, TX added to Open list. On I-27 splitting, 124.3 miles from the start at Lubbock, TX to the end at Amarillo, TX.
It was 24th on the list, and with distance re-check 23rd.

I also rechecked what was 25th, and found that Cambridge, OH to the end of I-77 was actually only 121.7 miles, dropping it down to 27th, so the table is updated with new 24th and 25th:

24I-90MissoulaMTButteMT123.5
25I-70RichfieldUTGreen RiverUT123.2

So for gaps over 100 miles:
Permit 10
Construction 4
Remain 56
But note that some current Permit/Construction Splitter!s are Pathetic, and will still leave gaps over 100 miles.

Butte - Grizzly Trl, MT

V3, improving I-90 Supercharging.

But also, it's a Double Pathetic Splitter! (With the Town Pump deal, there will be a number of supplementary Superchargers in Montana, including at least 2 pathetic splitters.

On I-90 splits the current #24 gap, 123.5 miles, 117.8 from Missoula, MT, 6 miles to Butte, MT,
Also on I-15 splits 113.3 miles, 107.6 miles from Lima, MT, 6 miles to Butte, MT.

These new chargers won’t reduce gaps much but should add reliability as a number of these are only 4 or 6 stall V2.

Sorry that link should be:

Once the new MT Town Pump locations open it will be possible to drive all the way from Boston to Seattle using only V3 superchargers.
* Using I-90/I-94/I-90. It's already possible, just a _long_ diversion. ;) EDIT No, never mind, ignore that. There's some gaps everywhere east-west. There's a few others pending that could make possible the long way round.

1571.6 miles heading east on I-90 from Liberty Lake (SC), WA to Tomah, WI taking I-90.
1574.2 miles heading west.
Obviously would require some stops on the way as well. :p

Thinking about this I suppose one *could* do it today taking a very out of the way route well to the south with multiple very long legs requiring full charges and long diversions and warm temps and slow speeds :). The real point is the new MT locations will allow it along the fastest route.

A brand new Model S could probably make Miles City-Great Falls-Helena-Liberty Lake with some very careful driving (and decent weather!), but that isn't an interstate route. It adds about an hour of drive time according to Google Maps, but in reality it would probably be more like 2 extra hours because you'd have to drive the speed limit or maybe even a little less vs. going 85mph on I-90.

Splitter!

On I-22, Guin, AL splits 129.3 miles, 60.5 miles from Tupelo, MS and 69.9 miles to the end at I-65 in Birmingham, AL. I-22 is currently being extended at the end about a mile to US-31.
This is currently #18 on the list of gaps.
