Hi,
I believe in CA, it's illegal to have tint on the front windows. There are plenty of people who do it anyway, but I'm wondering the insurance company's responsibility to reimburse in the event of an accident.
Let's say you are at-fault for an accident and there's major damage and/or someone hurt. Could the insurance company say the accident resulted from the tint being too dark (or simply illegal)? Seems like insurance companies love to find ways not to pay, and it could be a catastrophic financial hit if something bad happens, even if the tint had nothing to do with the accident.
