Yesterday was pretty exciting! & I want to keep the momentum going..

I KNOW this is unplug day &
I KNOW this project seems a bit off-topic, but its a think globally, act locally thing..
    yesterday Cleantechnica put this out

EV Conversion Project For High Schoolers -- Help A Brother Out! - CleanTechnica

and Dale Dougherty of Make Magazine and over 60 other community leaders gathered to discuss how to help this charter school create a Makerspace so kids could build their truck inside instead of out in the parking lot, so the welding doesn't have to happen behind the kitchen dumpsters at the only 220v outlets available and a lot of other projects can happen K-12. The school is special as a charter school but is already building into their success, a mainstream public school so that rising tides life at least two boats!

the indiegogo fundraiser has only 26 days to go.
A Revolution in Oakland: Turning a Gas Truck Electric! | Indiegogo
& of course, the kids are accepting In-Kind donations

Perhaps you have a personal list you can send this appeal to..
    thanks for helping!

PS What I am learning is that we need is an EV drag strip[quiet noise] in the bay area. If young people are going to really get serious about building performance EVs, and. after TESLA, why get serious about building anything LESS than a performance EV?
