This is more a parking question a driving than it is a driving question.
I live in the Pacific Northwest where ferries are a common mode of travel. When I park my aging BMW on a ferry’s car deck and leave the car, I must always press the lock button on my key twice—once to lock it and once to disable the alarm system’s tilt sensor. Once a ferry is underway and begins to encounter swells, activated tilt sensors will trigger the car’s alarm and will bring a ship-wide announcement from the ferry’s Captain along the lines of, “will the owner of a BMW SUV on the fore deck please go down and secure your vehicle.”
Such announcements are phrased as a question, but …
Does the Model 3’s alarm system have a tilt sensor? If so, how does one disable it?
