Looking for recommendation for XPEL Ultimate Installer (SF/Bay Area)

OP we're pretty lucky here in the SF Bay Area to have a few highly recommended Xpel installers who have done a lot Teslas. We had our full body Xpel Ultimate done by SSCustoms in Redwood City ( SS Customs ) after delivery. Shareef and crew do excellent work. You might have seen some of their work if you saw any of the U.S. Veterans cars that Tesla has showcased on Veterans Day. They do wraps, etc on some really fabulous cars and always fun to see what's in the shop being worked on. When we had an incident with a scratch in the Xpel (not the paint!) from a wooden fence post, they did our repair work as well. They recently joined as a Vendor here. They are on the Peninsula in Redwood City, but located right across the East Bay via the Dunbarton Bridge (84) so convenient to the East Bay as well.

As for an installer located in the East Bay, OC Detailing in Fremont would be another referral that we've worked with ( OCDetailing - Bay Area Coating & Clear Bra Specialist ). They are not too far north from the Tesla factory and also near the Dunbarton Bridge (84) on the other side of the Bay. We had Joe's team install our Blackvue 2-ch dashcam maybe a month or so after we got our car. Also highly recommended for wraps and you'll find lots of user posts on them as well.

I'd suggest giving who ever you are considering a call and especially if you are a first time wrap customer have them explain what it entails along with their quote. We also stopped into the shop to see their work which I'd highly recommend doing--great time to ask questions as well and get a feel for the staff and work they do. Depending on their schedule and yours, I'm sure either of the above would give you a great wrap job and both have done a lot of Teslas, which should be an important factor in who you select as well.

BTW no regrets whatsoever spending the extra $s for our wrap as we plan to keep our car for many years. It was the first thing we treated our car to and we felt like the most important. Like I mentioned it saved our bumper from a scratch and from other road stone pitting from our wonderful roadways here in the Bay. As an aside we get our car hand washed at EcoGreen Auto Clean just down the street from SSCustoms and it always looks fabulous.

I used Premier in Fremont. Had used another company also in Fremont and there were some bad bubbling and realized later that the guy used a blade on my car and screwed with my paint. Problem is I wouldn't have noticed, but because the bra had lifted off a few areas I can see the cut outlines. Been using Premier since (3 Model Ss and 2 Model Xs) and have been very happy with them. They also have Photosync, which nobody else in the area apparently qualifies to get.

I would be happy to show people the work they do on my Teslas, just message me.

I will also +1 for OC Detailing in Fremont. They are currently in possession of my new S100D for a full wrap, CQuartz, tinting, and dash cam install. Both times that I called up the shop with questions about what I wanted to get done, I ended up speaking to Joe directly who took the time to make sure everyone question I had was answered before I even booked an appointment.

They're currently booked with jobs straight into January, but they were very accommodating in squeezing me in to get everything done prior to a late December road trip that I'll be doing. The shop was very clean, Alex took me through the quoted work and made sure everything was what I was expecting, just top notch all the way.

They also post to their own YouTube channel with videos of the various Teslas they've done, including some recent Model 3s, as well as the process they go through to correct paint defects prior to wrapping.

They may not be the cheapest compared to other shops, but I'm confident that I have some of the best people working on my car.

Can't wait to get it back though.
