When Tesla first came out with this they said it would last the life of the vehicle, do they mean it will last as long as the HV battery pack? So 300k-500k miles? Or did they mean it will last through the warranty period?
I’m guessing this hasn’t been out long enough for one to be replaced but is there any idea how much the new 16v costs to replace?
Since it’s lithium now I’m guessing it’s more accurate at giving warnings when it’s about fail right?
If it does fail does the failure work differently than the old 12v battery failure? For example can you drive a much longer distance after it fails compared to when the 12v would fail
Does it still let doors open with the button press after it fails?
