Lidar is off by a few orders of magnitude in wavelength (micrometers instead of millimeters) so they are going to have fairly different characteristics. Basically it'll do a much worse job of penetrating through fog and poor weather than radar of any sort.

Wrong spectrum, but hey, you have a really good nose to be able to smell microwaves. I'm impressed.

Teslas biggest mistake ever was getting rid of Mobileye.
I know they would change that decision now but its too late.

And that will cost Tesla a lot in future.

As someone said Tesla is forced to make FSD work without adding any other additional hardware for 2016+ vehicles or they will have to refund all those owner who purchased FSD since then
