Lose Phone Key Connection on App Update (Android)

Is anyone else having this problem? Every time the Tesla app is updated I lose my phone key connection. I have to manually remove it from the car and add it again. This can be quite annoying and potentially cause me to lock myself out.

Yep. The same thing just happened to me. My phone updated the Tesla app to 4.1.1-667 this morning, and my phone key didn't work.

I got it working again by force closing the Tesla app, turning on Airplane mode, waiting a few seconds, turning off Airplane mode, and re-launching the Tesla app.

Are you sure you completely lose the connection? The phone key functionality only works when the Tesla app is actually running in the background on your phone. When you install an update, the app is killed for the installation. It might not properly restart after the installation. I've had that problem too, I just manually launch the Tesla app after it is updated, once, on the phone, and everything works afterwards.

Yea I've restarted my phone. Force closed it. Toggled airplane. Etc. I can't get the phone to show "connected" without removing and pairing again.
