Just got this model s 2013 p85 two days ago. Its low milage (50k miles) and single owner and amazing red signature color and has air suspension,
The owner was a reputable person and took very good care of the car,
I’m in love already.
However there is one issue when i turn wheel more than 180 degree to back into a spot I hear a very loud snap.
Here I uploaded to YouTube
I talked to the previous owner he said,
“
It has been there ever since 2013 and based on Tesla feedback when I asked the same question that told me all cars in that era were the same.
They told me it was a steering shim and no impact to driving…otherwise I would have done something about it!”
I tried to schedule inspection with tesla they want $375 just to test drive it.
What do you guys think i should do ?
Does this seem something that is dangerous or gonna get worse ? I really like the car and i wanna keep it for years
What would you do if you were me?
