low tire pressure warning(possible leaking air) how much to fix this?

Got low pressure warning on front left. Scheduled service with Tesla.

Does anyone know how much Tesla charges for this? can i take my car to Discount Tire?

Yes, absolutely. Take your Tesla vehicle to Discount Tire if there is one close to you.

Tesla will likely want to replace the tire. Discount Tire or another tire retail center will evaluate the tire for the source of the leak (99% likely there is a puncture of the tread of the tire) and determine whether the puncture can be repaired.

Sales did recommend for tire warranty, declined.

The Discount Tire/America's Tires tire certificate offer can be a really good deal if you live in an area with lots of new construction. Tire punctures seem to happen more often around new construction.

Where is the leak? Mix up some soapy water and pour some around the valve stem. It could also be the Schrader valve or the nut that secures the TPMS to the wheel. I’d do that before anything else.

In the US and Canada Tesla fitted tires from Continental, Goodyear and Michelin to the Tesla Model Y. These specific models of tire have a foam liner that helps reduce resonant noise within the tire cavity. Tires with a foam liner may require additional steps, especially when being patched from the inside, but the tire can be repaired. Some tire repair centers don't want to spend the additional time, will not repair these tires. Some Tesla Service centers will perform a repair of the punctured tire but other Tesla Service centers will only offer to replace the tire. More recently some of the larger retailers such as Costco (in some cases) and Discount Tire (in some locations) will no longer offer to repair a tire that has a foam liner. The consumer/customer is caught in the middle.

I used to get these warnings frequently but it turned out to be false as it went away. Many Costco stores have a nitrogen free air station which I use all the time. Surprising how often I have to add air to my tires.

I got a slow leak in the left rear tire after I replaced the rear tires with 295/35/21 MPAS. I just used Slime tire sealant and haven’t had a problem since.
